Professional Background
Laudholm Trust
Marketing Director
2000โ2024
I led the marketing program for the Wells Reserve at Laudholm for 24 years, developing messages and products to generate goodwill and inspire donations to the 501(c)(3) organization that supports the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve.
Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve
Communications Director
2000โ2024
I ensured the Wells NERR was recognized for its expertise and rewarded for accomplishments made in pursuit of its mission. My communications program drove stronger site visitation and event attendance, promoted research findings, strengthened partnerships, and helped people connect their everyday actions to the health of coastal environments.
I created most of the print products distributed by the Wells Reserve and directed the organization's online presence. I managed the reserve's early web evolution, guided two complete website redesigns, and pioneered the reserve's use of email marketing, social media, and website services.
I handled media relations for the reserve, ensuring coverage of our programs and activities from Portland to Portsmouth and beyond, in print and on the air, by delivering ready-to-use content and intriguing leads.
